ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to recent contract wins, RCR’s Facilities Maintenance Services Division, are looking for an experienced Building Inspector with a multi-disciplined background in Property Conditions Assessment (PCA).

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the PCA Inspector is primarily responsible for physically undertaking the required number of inspections per month and reporting the outcomes of the inspections to the PCA Quality Assurance Manager.

DUTIES

  • Schedule and undertake standard PCA Inspections each Quarter or as directed by the PCA Manager
  • Contribute to the development of materials and tools to be used to support the PCA Inspection Process
  • Respond to any ‘On Request PCAs’ requested by the Client or rescheduled appointments from Tenants
  • Record and submit accurate PCA Inspection data
  • Escalate and report any requirements for Urgent Work when identified

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A working knowledge of Codes, Standards and Legislations regarding Building
  • Relevant experience in residential and commercial building, construction and/or facilities maintenance or building management
  • Practical experience as a Building Inspector/Assessor
  • A Certificate II or III QA or a related discipline
  • A trade certificate in Building, Construction or Carpentry or industry equivalent
