Business Development Representatives - Melbourne

RCR Laser are currently seeking applications from driven and competent Business Development Representatives to join our talented team. This will be a challenging and rewarding role which forms an integral part of our Victorian operation.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will be based in Dandenong, Melbourne and will take responsibility for achieving set sales targets by finding and converting prospective customers into active customers, growing them to maturity and gathering market intelligence and enhancing the revenue, margins and productivity of the company.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Day to day management of key account customers, maintaining and building relationships through open dialogue with respect to all of their needs. Focus on identifying and developing new market segments and customers
  • Using the company's pricing structure and trading guidelines as positive marketing tools to maximise profit margins and actively seek further opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Achieving the revenue and gross profit targets in both new business and existing business in the client list.
  • Developing and implementing a plan to integrate each new client into the RCR Laser manufacturing process.
  • As requested by the National Sales Manager, systematically gather and record relevant information on customers, potential customers and competitors.
  • Participate in and promote a teamwork culture by assisting other team members both within the sales department, other departments across the division and other RCR businesses to achieve other organisational objectives.
  • Other duties as outlined in the position PD.

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

  • Completed relevant or related studies in marketing or sales (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in a Sales/Marketing role preferably within the building trade/steel industry.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • High level organisational skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative.
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Sound computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to respond positively to change.
