ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Manager of Welshpool Manufacturing the primary purpose of this position would be to support the SHEQ Manager across all aspects of Health and Safety. Located in our Welshpool workshop you will provide and support safety, health, environment, and quality solutions to meet the requirements of management, legislative bodies and the RCR organisation.

DUTIES

  • Ensure that all correct documentation relating to injury and incidents are affectively completed timely and accurate.
  • Conduct, implement, train, and maintain Job Hazard & Environmental Analysis (JHA), Safe Act Observations (SAO’s), inspections and Take 5 processes at all worksites within your area of responsibility.
  • Contribute to regular Toolbox Meetings at all work sites, providing feedback to the management team related to OHS.
  • Produce and record weekly / monthly SHEQ and training status reports on results and statistics for Management
  • Record all corrective actions required, when identified and ensure they entered into RCR’s CAPA management system and closed out within the accepted agreed timeline

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Has successfully completed a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Understands Safety Management systems and on the job training systems and processes.
  • Has a working knowledge of the relevant legislation Acts and Regulations pertaining to their working environment (Mining industry Acts and Regulations, OHS Acts and Regulations).
  • Experience in Injury Management through insurance companies and rehabilitation providers.
  • Experience of delivering training packages to a broad group
