HR Coordinator – RCR Tomlinson

With our recent successes and continuous business growth around the country, we are now looking for a Corporate HR Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Sydney.

Reporting to the General Manager - HR / IR this role will be based in Sydney CBD and will assist more senior professionals to coordinate and administer a variety of programmes and activities covering multiple HR activities. This role will also deal with a wide range of HR challenges, whilst also including maintenance and filing of personnel records, processing and typing of personnel documents.

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Work independently to assist in all HR function matters of the company.
  • Assist with payroll, benefits and compensation administration.
  • Prepare materials for employees and managers.
  • Update records and maintain proper filing systems.
  • Where appropriate, provide information and advice on HR Management issues to ensure effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure appropriate and clearly define working relationships.
  • Participate in business unit meetings to provide HR related advice to the divisions on workplace related issues.
  • Participate in HR projects as required by the General Manager - HR / IR, managing research and preparation of documents for review, recommendation and implementation.
  • Provide information and advice to the business units on change management initiatives including the development of change Management Plans.
  • Assist Managers in the development of position descriptions and any of the Performance measures or plans for specified areas to ensure appropriate review and updates.
  • Assist with the provision of report requirements for the organisation, including turnover, training, exit data, recruitment, response rates and adhoc reports as required.

To be considered for the position you will have the following:

  • Professional and/or Graduate Diploma (or equivalent) in HR related studies.
  • Substantial HR generalist experience, preferably in a competitive corporate environment with direct accountability for HR delivery.
  • An ability to interpret legislation, regulations, awards, industrial agreements together with policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including interviewing, counselling, negotiation and report writing skills.
  • An ability to interact proactively with Management and staff at all levels of the organisation in the resolution of HR issues.
  • Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and problems solving skills
