With our consistent growth in the sector, RCR are now looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join the team in Sydney. Reporting to the Divisional HR Manager, the Senior Human Resources Advisor is responsible for providing high level operational support and advice to line management, often involving complex matters, and for contributing to the development of human resources initiatives and projects. The position will be responsible for duties associated with Employment Lifecycle, Industrial Relations and Compliance across the various business lines in the Infrastructure Division.

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

  • Degree in law, human resources or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of practice in human resources or workplace law.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource management practices, ideally in the construction/engineering industry.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in employment law – federal and state.
  • Ability to work through complex and ambiguous matters often involving risk and to provide solutions that are best for business.
  • Ability to work in a complex and high-pressured environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing sound advice for a range of workplace matters.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding the commercial impacts of advice
  • Demonstrated negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and trust.
  • High level of initiative and ability to get the tasks completed.
  • Commercial acumen in order to develop workable solutions.
