We are now actively recruiting for a Design Manager, ideally with experience of working on Utility Solar projects to work on a specific project based in Perth, Western Australia.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the design aspect of all active projects to ensure design is delivered on time, within budget and client requirements.

You will manage the design review and verification process to ensure a high quality and accuracy of all design work, provide and coordinate engineering support to the project and tendering teams on an as required basis and ensure compliance with, and implementation of the company’s management system with regards to design.

To be considered for the position you will have the following:

  • Tertiary engineering qualification
  • Formal Engineering Management or Project Management qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a design role in the construction industry with 5 years’ experience in a Design Management role.
  • Proficient in planning, organising and working to time lines
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Clear understanding of:
    • Appropriate Australian Codes and Standards
    • OH&S codes and standards
    • Safety in Design process
